Display & Positioning

Sets coordinate depth layering positions of elements. Higher indexes sit in front of lower indexes. Elements must be positioned for z-index to function.

Common Value Formats

z-index: 1; Sits at base layer
z-index: 100; Layers above lower indexes
z-index: -1; Layer behind default background stacks
